Thoughts

The Thanksgiving Day holiday is a uniquely American Holiday! President George Washington, on Oct 3, 1789, signed a decree for a "General Thanksgiving" that in part stated that the day was  "to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God."

The theme of Thanksgiving is an attitude to be shared by all, all the time!!!

Enjoy the food, the love, the warmth of relationships as a celebration of God's goodness!  

Share the day with those in need.  Invite them to your table.  Take them a meal, or the provisions for a meal. 

In sharing with others, you will find even greater fulfillment and joy as you imitate the Greatest Giver of all, our God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Remember to share your wild game with those in need. There are many programs at the state and local levels that welcome the donation of game taken in fair chase as sources of protein for the needy.
