Today's Photograph . . . . It Doesn't Take Much For Him To Get Us . . . (Tom L)
Bible Study Verse
II Timothy 2:25-26
Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. (NIV)

Thoughts
While operating a resort in northern Minnesota in the late 70's and early 80's, trapping muskrat and beaver became a necessity to prevent shoreline damage. My two sons really enjoyed running the trap line and skinning the critters.

It wasn't until I retired in Wyoming that I got involved with trapping predators with my friend, Mike. We trapped bobcat, coyote, fox, and pine martins.

They all seemed to be opportunists. If we accidently caught a jack rabbit, cottontail, squirrel, or magpie in the trap, most of them were totally eaten by the time we ran our traps. We tried a lot of strategies to outsmart the predators, but found them to be very cunning.

Action Point
Satan is a predator who is very cunning and opportunistic. It doesn't take much for him to get us in a foothold. The scriptures in Ephesians 4 warn us about our behavior relating to lying, anger, theft, our language, bitterness, rage, brawling, slander, sexual immorality, greed, obscenity, foolish talk, and coarse joking.

We must hold each other accountable, admonish with wisdom (Colossians 3:16), seek the Lord's strength, and get help if we find ourselves in Satan's trap.

Sportsmen's tip of the Day
Consider reading Neil Anderson's book, The Bondage Breaker to help free yourself from Satan's hold. It will lead you into freedom through God's Word.
