Ephesians 4:16
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (NIV)
Thoughts
I recently purchased a new Springfield 1911 handgun for my work. As I look it over, I think about all the different parts which help it work efficiently. The interesting thing is that even one small spring is important for the gun to operate.
As important as a little spring is to making this handgun work, so too are we to the Kingdom of God. In Ephesians 4, the Apostle Paul talks about unity in the Body of Christ. Verse 16 describes how the whole body is held together by each part doing its work.
God has given each one of us talents and opportunities which can further His kingdom. For example, I may not be the final step to someone coming to Christ, but something I said or did may be one of the steps leading to the decision.

Action Point
As you go through the day, remember that what you say or do could be part of the bigger plan God has for you or someone around you. What you say and do is important to God's kingdom.
We are each a part of the Body of Christ.
Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
After hunting or going shooting, it is good to clean your gun(s) to make sure all the parts are operating smoothly and not inhibited by dirt, powder, etc. This does two things:
- It allows you to remain familiar with your firearm, which increases safe handling;
- You'll always know if and when a part is damaged and needing to be replaced.
