Thoughts
Winter wade fishing on the Gulf coast is all about stamina. When you are standing waist deep in cold water surrounded by cold air, about the only thing left to warm your soul is the smack of a trophy trout.
Tired, wet, and freezing, and not getting bit, you'll find yourself tempted to give up. Fighting through for rod-bending action is what we like to call grinding. The payoffs can be spectacular.
