Bible Study Verses
Matthew 9: 36-38
When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field."

Thoughts
When visiting my son and his family in the Florida panhandle, we try to spend several days fishing on the 1400 ft. Navarre pier. We generally fish for redfish, king and Spanish mackerel, sheephead, pompano, and whiting.

Starting in March, hundreds of cobia fishermen hang out on the pier for hours sight fishing for the prized cobia. When one is sighted, they run down the pier toward the fish casting their bright colored jigs hoping to catch one of these large and aggressive cobias. I have never seen such passion to harvest a fish.

Action Point
Passion is a strong intense emotional desire that leads to an action. Jesus' journey to the Cross has been called the Passion. He paid the price to redeem us and save the lost.

Matthew 9:37b tells us, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few," (NIV).

Start with prayer and God will give you that passion. Pray for the lost and God will also give you opportunities to witness.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
When fishing the ocean, carry a resource to identify your catch. There are size and seasonal restrictions.
