Today's Photograph . . . . So That People Are Without Excuse (MQ) |
Psalm 46:10
He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (NIV)

We
hunters have a common disease, embellishment! Yes, those tall tales
just get taller with each telling--the forked horn muley buck becomes a
mighty four-pointer; the 200- point whitetail somehow gains an extra
hundred pounds.
God, too, tells a story. He's telling
it in the magnificence of every mountain and every animal He has made.
And, there's no need for embellishment. Just be still and observe the
magnificence of the creation around you, and you'll see Him everywhere
you look. He's in the majesty of the mountains and the beauty of a deer.
Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world God's
invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature-have been
clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse," (NIV).
Yes, God is exalted among the nations, and it's no tall tale!!!
Action Point
When you go to the mountains, plan some quiet time alone to reflect on God's creation. It's magnificent!!!
Abraham
Lincoln once said, "I never behold them (the heavens filled with stars)
that I do not feel I am looking in the face of God. I can see how it
might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an
atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and
say there is no God."
I think Mr. Lincoln had it right!!!
When you're hunting, spend more time sitting still, watching, and less time moving about. You're likely to see more game, and they're less likely to see you if you're still and well camouflaged.
