Bible Study Verse
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  (NKJV)

Thoughts
Yesterday was a good day quail hunting, but it was a consolation for a trip the one we had planned earlier and missed. Sometimes things happen in life that mess up our plans. In my younger years, I would have had a hard time dealing with the disappointment.

More recently I have learned the lesson that everything that happens has a reason. It is just up to us to understand what God is allowing and why.

Action Point
We all have plans that just get messed up for some reason. The car breaks down at the last minute and we can't go or a trip falls through, we have all experienced this. If we get frustrated and upset, we may miss the real reason for the change of plans.

Remember, we are not in control, even when we think we are. It's a good idea to consult God with our plans, keeping in mind who is really in charge.

If you have not talked with Him lately, He is there to listen to you. He truly wants to hear from you. Trust Him!!! He does have plans for your life!!!

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
When planning a trip in advance, check your equipment. Make sure everything is in good working order, scope is sighted in, gun is clean and free of dirt, outboard motor starts when pulled, and fishing line and leaders are fresh and new. Any one of these can create havoc on your trip.
