Today's Photograph . . . . Take Time To Acknowledge God When You Are Afraid And He Will Give You Peace (NPS)
Bible Study Verses
Mark 4:39-41
He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Silence! Be still!" The wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Then He said to them, "Why are you fearful? Do you still have no faith?"
And they were terrified and asked one another, "Who then is this? Even the wind and the sea obey Him!" (HCSB)

Thoughts
On a past elk hunt, I was fast asleep in my trailer, when, around 3:00 a.m., a massive thunderstorm blew up. A tree about 50 feet from the trailer was hit by lightning. There was a bright flash and the trailer shook as if an earthquake had struck it.

That night, this verse came to life for me--I knew exactly how the disciples must have felt on board that boat. I remember lying awake the rest of the night, afraid that the next bolt of lightning would hit the trailer . . .

Action Point
There are many things that cause us to fear. Psalm 46:1 tells us, "God is our refuge and strength,
a Helper who is always found in times of trouble," (HCSB). It is great to know that God is there for us no matter what the circumstances may be.

Take time to acknowledge God when you are afraid, and He will give you peace.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
If you are caught in a lightning storm, stay inside your vehicle or trailer. It is much safer than being exposed to the elements.
