Bible Study Verses
Psalm 119:30,38, 128, 140, 151-152, 160
I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.
Establish Your word to Your servant, Who is devoted to fearing You.
Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.
Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it.
You are near, O Lord, and all Your commandments are truth. Concerning Your testimonies,
I have known of old that You have founded them forever.
The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
(NKJV)

Thoughts
There was no doubt in David's mind, nor in his writings, that ALL of God's Word was true, absolute, eternal, pure, holy, and awesome. The list goes on and on, especially in Psalm 119!

God's Word has been preserved by Him throughout the ages:
  • Still totally reliable for us to place complete faith in, without fear of God's promises ever failing. "Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses," I Kings 8:56 (NKJV).
  • Never changing, like Him, "For I am the Lord, I do not change," Malachi 3:6a (NKJV).
  • Never lies. "In hope of eternal life which God, Who cannot lie, promised before time began," Titus 1:2 (NKJV).
Everyday paths for our lives lies in the absolute truth of the Word of God. David said, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path," Psalms 119:105 (NKJV).

Action Point
Like David, each of us need to stand firm on the Word of God. When the flow of this world, even in some church movements, is that there is no absolute truth, we need to:
  • Anchor our lives on the Bible.
  • Lead our families in believing and in knowing the Word.
  • Live out the precepts of God as we are strengthened to preserve the purity and Christlikeness that God wills for us in these last days.
As people founded on shifting sands proclaim "new revelation" and "new liberty in Christ," we will be able stand on the absolute truth of the holy and eternal Words of the One Who is Truth.

Sportsman's Tip of the Day
When your state's updated/new game reg's are published:
  • Read the changes from last year, usually highlighted in the front of the booklet.
  • Review the maps to make sure what special reg's your hunting area is under, and what this year's bag limits are.
  • Carry a copy of those game laws in your hunting vehicle, in case you might have any question or need reassurance of legality. Also, important phone #s are enclosed, to report poachers and/or emergencies.
  • Contact your wildlife office/officer if you have any questions, and get their interpretation, just to be safe.
