Today's Photograph . . . . God Has A Purpose And A Plan For Each Of Us   (Jack M)
Bible Study Verse
Amos 5:8
He who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning and darkens the day into night, Who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the Lord is His name. (ESV)

Thoughts
Morning. A new day. The sun is just coming up. The night is fading away.  The sun will bring warmth to the Earth.

It was cold the morning I took the above photo. Its heat was welcome. God's plan was at work. The sun was rising as He promised and according to His design, timing, power, and under His control.

Action Point
Imagine the power to:
  • Create and control the stars.
  • Turn night to day.
  • Make the things stated in the above verse.
I know I do not have these abilities or powers nor does any other man. Only the Lord God, the Sovereign Creator, and the Sustainer of all things has such ability and might.

Like the prophet Amos and others, people were used by God to reveal His attributes and His ways. One was Jeremiah, a prophet of the Old Testament. He was faithful throughout his life in a very difficult ministry.

Jeremiah states that God set him apart as a prophet before he was even conceived. "Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations, ' " Jeremiah 1:4-5 (ESV). Isn't that an amazing thing?

Most humans can't make their plan for a day a reality, but God states the beginning from the end. We can trust Him. We can rely on Him. He is a trustworthy reality in a world filled with uncertainty, fear, and trouble.

God has a purpose and a plan for each of us. We just need to know Him and to trust Him. The first step in that plan is to be saved, to place your personal faith in Him through Jesus His Son.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
Make sure of the legal hunting time each day. The GPS applications on many mobile phones have accurate sunrise and sunset tables. Know the laws of the states where you hunt. They vary from state-to-state. Make sure you know them in advance and that you obey these laws.
