A Daily Study of God's Word for Christian Sportsmen   September 7, 2011

Today's Photograph . . . .   All We Usually Do Is Swim In Circles (Will D)

Bible Study Verses
Acts 17:25-26
And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything. Rather, He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.  From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. (NIV)

Thoughts
Late summer angling in coastal Louisiana can feel like fishing inside a hot air balloon. Enticing fish gets down-right difficult. So when the going gets tough, the tough get live bait.

Keeping them living in this southern sauna is challenging. A livewell system forcing clean, oxygen-laden water around one's bait can mean the difference between a mediocre day or a stellar one.

Action Point
Without a steady stream of God in our lives, all we usually do is swim in circles - usually breathing in dirty air. Yet an ongoing, daily relationship with God is a steady supply oxygen for our soul.

Breath in the One Who gave you breath. As you do, you will begin to see abundant life replace mediocrity. Live well!!!

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
Cooler water always helps live bait stay alive longer. Place a ziploc bag of ice inside your well.
