Bible Study Verse
II Chronicles 14:2
Asa did what was good and right in the sight of the Lord his God. (HCSB)

Thoughts
Do you remember the story of King Asa in II Chronicles 14 ?

Asa followed God's commands and experienced peace. The story tells us that, as long as Asa kept his eyes on God, God rewarded him. When Asa was faced with challenges, he would turn to God and seek guidance.

The story also relates that, as time went on, he failed to see the need to seek God's wisdom; and soon lost power, property, and, eventually, his life.

Action Point
At times in our lives, it is easy to think that we can deal with the issues of life on our own. We may think it is the "manly" thing to do. It usually does not take long to realize that we need some help.

When these times occur, is it not wonderful that we can go to Him and ask for help. Remember to keep your eye focused on God during good times and bad.
