Today's Photograph . . . . He Was Going To Enjoy . . .   (Jack M)
Bible Study Verses
Psalm 34:8-10
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. Fear the Lord,  you His holy people, for those who fear Him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (NIV)

Thoughts
What a wide variety of tastes God has given us to enjoy. The pike pictured above evidently thought the spinner bait looked really tasty. Maybe the colors were mistaken for small perch he loved to eat? He was going to enjoy a tasty breakfast, but instead was hauled into the boat.

Action Point
God blesses us in so many tangible ways. Yet many do not recognize these benefits. More forget to thank Him. We just think these things are natural; that it's the way it is supposed to be.
God gives us many different things to taste, to experience, to enjoy. All this variety revealing the manifold means by which He provides for our needs and for our enjoyment. All illustrate the smorgasbord of experiences by which we may enjoy Him and our relationship with Him.

In the Old Testament period God utilized a variety of means in providing for His people. As He met those needs, often He shared a different name than He had used before. Not a different God, but a new name that showed His ability and desire to take care of them, meeting their needs, displaying His devotion and steadfast love in all the situations of life.

The Psalmist challenges us to EXPERIENCE God's goodness. That is why he uses the metaphors of tasting and viewing the Lord our God.

When you have a need, He is more than able to meet it. Trust in Him. Experience Him through His goodness as you pray and as He supplies.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
Do your best to match the plugs, flies, poppers, jigs, or other type of lures that mimic the colors and size of the food source the fish are utilizing. The fly fishermen call it "matching the hatch." Your fishing success will increase.
