Bible Study Verses
Psalm 46:1-3
God is our Refuge and Strength, an ever-present Help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (NIV)

Thoughts
The summer pack season ended with my heart full of thanksgiving. We prayed that God would watch over us and He answered our prayers.

When we consider the dangers involved in mountain travel, horses, grizzly bears, and camping, it would be easy to focus too much on the negative possibilities of what might happen rather than the positive potential of what God can do.

Action Point
Focus on God's promises in His Word instead of worrying about the negative possibilities.

Spend time in prayer and He promises peace that is beyond our understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 assures, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus," (NIV).

With God's help, you'll enjoy your trip even more.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
Even if some of your hunting groups are not Christians, bring them together and pray for their safety. They will appreciate it.
