April 30, 2014

Today's Photograph . . . . When The Sin Fits, He Will Forgive and Heal Our Land IF We Humble Ourselves (Donny N)
Today is like the day before the hunt of our lifetimes.  The day for each of us to prepare, to be ready to manage the upcoming challenges. Today is a most important day for our future. It's the day before the 63rd National Day of Prayer here in the US. Be careful though you could be reprimanded if you bring Jesus, a Bible, or prayer to work in this nation that needs His protection and guidance more than ever before. Below we will list a few facts and bullet points to encourage each of you to step up and participate through prayer.

Bible Study Verse
II Chronicles 7:14
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (NKJV)

Thoughts
"My people called by My name" refers to each of us that have had their sins washed away by Christ's blood. We're called CHRISTians. We have had to bow before the King of Kings and gladly relinquish all control to His Lordship.

The humble part should be pretty easy since our country, our finances, our relationships, our families, and our priorities could all use a lot of improvement. You don't think so? Well do a fact check:
  • Married, divorced, meshed blended family with multiple grandparents, and same old common denominator you with same baggage from previous marriage creating new marriage with new spouse with the different hair color, the different body weight, the different job resume, and the different loaded steamer trunk (how's that working with same common denominator you?). Married to same person only once, ask that person if they'd marry you again long pause or just a smile no instant verbal "Yes!" - there's room for improvement.
  • Addictions, none? What about the overeating of those comfort foods (a little heavier than you should be?), the sleeping pills, the alcohol, the antidepressants, the video games before mentioning the illegal drug use or the porn available on your really wise smart phone, on your laptop, on your ipod, and on your family computer. In America today, 1 out of 13 teenagers are on a prescribed antidepressant, not sure on the adults. Porn has become the reward for highest scores in many popular video games besides the multi-million dollar industry that fuels the indulgent appetite while threatening families, children, women. There's room for improvement.
  • Finances, money, money, money - we all could use more. A bigger house, the bigger truck, the vacation home, the boat, the vacation with the kids then the vacation without the kids - there's room for improvement.
  • Priorities? Job first to get more money, job first again then church unless we had to workon Saturday then we have to be outdoors instead of at church to recover from working on Saturday before the Monday morning blues are due,  here's Monday, no family time, no sitting at the table to eat together (what family does that anymore?), if I didn't have a family I wouldn't desperately need the money, the job, could hunt more, fish more - there's a lot of room for improvement here.
  • You say nothing applies, then pray for others that are dealing with above struggles. But, you might want to check your heart, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:5 (NKJV).
Yes, all of us need more Jesus Christ in our lives.

Notice what's missing? Time!!! Time with God, time reading His word, time praying for guidance, discernment, and family needs, quality time with spouse, quality time if any with kids, the list goes on.

Lastly "heal their land." Yes there's room for improvement. Current and future children are in debt to the government for thousands at one day old due to the extravagant spending in Washington such as giving billions to countries that hate and want to wipe us off the Earth, rewarding those that didn't work in educating their minds in school and now choosing to live off government assistance in exchange for their supporting votes, and politicians spending America to financial collapse for a few examples. Not smart or discerning.

Yes there's healing needed and God's way will work, but He chooses to work through us humans. Prayer is our strongest weapon to reclaiming America back, one man, one woman, one family at a time.

Sportsmen's Tip of the Day
Years ago my family and I learned to pray in Jesus Christ's name a hedge of thorns around loved ones for their spiritual, mental, and physical safety. We have all been guilty of under estimating the power of our prayers to our Abba Father. Now it's time to surround America with stronger praying men, women, teenagers, and children.

Remember we are not fighting a battle of flesh and blood as stated in Ephesians 6:12, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places," (NKJV).
