Today's Photograph . . . . Watch The Weather Closely (MQ)
Bible Study Verse
Mark 15:1
Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate. (NKJV)

Thoughts
Yesterday was a beautiful, glassy-calm day on our bay. The sky was brilliant blue with only an occasional puffy white cloud drifting by. A friend had come in to fish, but we were limited to just a few afternoon hours. Although the optimum weather would allow us to fish practically anywhere, our time for travel was limited. I needed to pick a good area out of several that were available to us. I was plagued with indecision.

The Sanhedrin had reached their decision. Because of their insecurities and zeal, they could no longer tolerate Jesus' message and sought to end His life by the hands of the Roman Governor of Judea, Pontius Pilate.

But, Pilate faced a dilemma. On the one hand, if he refused them, a riot might start, undermining his authority and placing his job in jeopardy. On the other, he knew he would be sentencing an innocent man to death. Bound by indecision, he "washed his hands" by passing the buck back to the crowd (see Matthew 27:24). Just like the Sanhedrin and Pontius Pilate--everybody must make a decision about what to do with Jesus.

Action Point
I pray you have made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you have not, I encourage you to do so right now:

Admit you are sinful;
Ask for forgiveness;
Know that Christ died on that cross for you;
Ask Him to be your boss and Savior.

Make a decision for Him today!

Sportsmen's Tip of the Tip
The internet has become a great tool for outdoorsmen. Sites that predict wind speeds and weather are invaluable for those who pursue game fish. Learn to make those days spent on the lake or ocean count by watching the weather closely.
